According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2016:

  1. California: 22,400
  2. New York: 13,000
  3. Florida: 10,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2016:

  1. Alaska: -700

  3. Maine: 0
