According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2018:

  1. Illinois: 3,000
  2. Georgia: 2,000
  3. Alabama: 1,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2018:

  1. California: -4,800
  2. New York: -2,400
  3. Massachusetts: -2,400
