According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2019:

  1. New York: 4,900
  2. Minnesota: 2,600
  3. Michigan: 2,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2019:

  1. Florida: -5,100
  2. California: -4,400
  3. New Jersey: -1,100
