According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2021:
- Arizona: 1,300
- Arkansas: 1,200
- California: 1,000
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2021:
- North Carolina: -5,200
- Illinois: -2,800
- Georgia: -2,100
