According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2021:

  1. Florida: 10,600
  2. Illinois: 9,300
  3. New Jersey: 9,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2021:

  1. North Dakota: -200
  2. District of Columbia: 100
  3. Alaska: 100
