According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2004:

  1. California: 85,500
  2. Florida: 62,900
  3. New York: 57,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2004:

  1. Nebraska: -400
  2. Wyoming: 500
  3. South Dakota: 700
