According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2017:
- Florida: 209,600
- California: 158,200
- New York: 116,200
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2017:
- Alaska: -10,400
- Maine: -4,800
- Montana: -2,200
