According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2018:
- New York: 57,600
- Illinois: 45,600
- California: 44,700
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2018:
- Florida: -9,700
- Arizona: -9,300
- District of Columbia: -1,800
