- California: 175,100
- New York: 139,000
- Florida: 75,600
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Service-Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2018:
- Alaska: -8,500
- Montana: -2,400
- Maine: -500
