According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2002:

  1. New York: 14,400
  2. Colorado: 9,800
  3. Pennsylvania: 9,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2002:

  1. Utah: -1,200
  2. Kansas: -900
  3. Wyoming: 0
