According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2005:

  1. California: 4,500
  2. Pennsylvania: 1,600
  3. Oregon: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2005:

  1. Indiana: -2,400
  2. Nebraska: -600
  3. Virginia: -500
