According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2006:

  1. Pennsylvania: 11,700
  2. Massachusetts: 9,600
  3. Colorado: 8,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2006:

  1. Wyoming: 100
  2. Rhode Island: 100
  3. South Dakota: 500
