According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2013:

  1. Hawaii: 400
  2. Kentucky: 400
  3. Maryland: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2013:

  1. Florida: -7,400
  2. Michigan: -7,100
  3. Minnesota: -3,400
