According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. Georgia: 2,300
  2. Arkansas: 1,900
  3. Massachusetts: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. Florida: -2,600
  2. Ohio: -1,600
  3. New Jersey: -1,400
