According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2017:

  1. New York: 900
  2. Nevada: 800
  3. New Hampshire: 0

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2017:

  1. California: -24,000
  2. Hawaii: -8,900
  3. Georgia: -5,100
