According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2017:

  1. Alaska: -1,300
  2. North Dakota: -1,300
  3. Maine: -1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2017:

  1. North Carolina: -23,100
  2. Ohio: -18,000
  3. Colorado: -16,900
