According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2021:
- Arizona: 9,300
- Georgia: 8,200
- Iowa: 5,300
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2021:
- California: -3,900
- Hawaii: -3,000
- Minnesota: -1,500
