According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2021:

  1. Minnesota: 1,500
  2. Mississippi: 1,200
  3. Arizona: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2021:

  1. North Carolina: -11,000
  2. Colorado: -10,100
  3. Oklahoma: -8,100
