According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2021:

  1. Ohio: 3,000
  2. New Hampshire: 400
  3. Illinois: 300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the State Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2021:

  1. California: -12,200
  2. Indiana: -10,500
  3. North Carolina: -6,800
