According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2002:

  1. California: 71,200
  2. Florida: 68,600
  3. New York: 34,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2002:

  1. Alaska: -9,300
  2. North Carolina: -4,400
  3. Wyoming: -4,100
