According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2003:

  1. California: 59,700
  2. New Jersey: 37,600
  3. New York: 30,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2003:

  1. Florida: -82,400
  2. North Carolina: -28,900
  3. Arizona: -28,400
