According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2005:

  1. California: 71,200
  2. New Jersey: 53,200
  3. New York: 51,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2005:

  1. Florida: -94,100
  2. North Carolina: -30,000
  3. Arizona: -26,500
