According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2005:

  1. California: 104,600
  2. Texas: 71,700
  3. Florida: 46,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2005:

  1. Vermont: 600
  2. Maine: 800
  3. North Dakota: 2,200
