According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2006:

  1. Florida: 83,500
  2. Texas: 69,200
  3. California: 65,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2006:

  1. Alaska: -6,400
  2. Wyoming: -2,600
  3. Maine: -1,700
