According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:
- Ohio: 59,000
- New York: 58,700
- Illinois: 57,600
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:
- District of Columbia: 600
- Hawaii: 1,500
- Arizona: 1,700
