According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2018:
- California: 50,300
- Arizona: 30,000
- Missouri: 21,900
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2018:
- Colorado: -16,500
- North Carolina: -15,100
- Alaska: -10,800
