According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2022:
- New York: 73,400
- California: 67,000
- Illinois: 40,400
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Nonfarm industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2022:
- Arizona: -8,000
- District of Columbia: -900
- Hawaii: -500
