According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2006:

  1. California: 101,100
  2. Florida: 64,400
  3. Texas: 51,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2006:

  1. Minnesota: -7,100
  2. Wisconsin: -5,900
  3. New Jersey: -4,400
