According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2011:

  1. California: 60,900
  2. Georgia: 44,500
  3. New York: 40,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2011:

  1. Oklahoma: -4,600
  2. Colorado: -2,300
  3. Arkansas: -2,100
