According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2015:
- California: 67,500
- Florida: 29,800
- Arizona: 17,200
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2015:
- New York: -17,800
- Massachusetts: -6,800
- New Jersey: -6,200
