According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2019:
- California: 37,200
- Colorado: 16,200
- Alaska: 11,600
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2019:
- Michigan: -37,200
- New York: -28,800
- New Jersey: -20,900
