According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2022:
- New York: 72,000
- California: 50,500
- Michigan: 46,300
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Total Private industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2022:
- Arizona: -3,500
- Hawaii: -1,000
- District of Columbia: 300
