According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. New York: 20,800
  2. California: 19,900
  3. New Jersey: 8,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. Florida: -2,200
  2. South Carolina: -1,400
