According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2008:

  1. Maine: 1,200
  2. Alaska: 800
  3. Idaho: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2008:

  1. New York: -21,700
  2. Florida: -18,100
  3. New Jersey: -11,400
