According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2009:
- California: 10,900
- New York: 9,100
- Florida: 5,400
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2009:
- Alaska: -4,100
- Louisiana: -2,500
