According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. New York: 21,800
  2. California: 18,300
  3. New Jersey: 13,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Trade, Transportation, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. District of Columbia: 300
  2. Arizona: 400
  3. Hawaii: 500
