According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2008:

  1. Illinois: 2,800
  2. Indiana: 1,500
  3. California: 1,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2008:
