According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2012:

  1. Illinois: 3,800
  2. Missouri: 2,300
  3. California: 2,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2012:

  1. New York: -2,000
  2. New Jersey: -1,400
  3. Massachusetts: -900
