According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2016:

  1. California: 6,600
  2. Illinois: 3,400
  3. Missouri: 1,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Transportation and Warehousing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2016:

  1. New York: -2,100
  2. New Jersey: -1,500
  3. Massachusetts: -1,200
