According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Transportation, Warehousing, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. Kentucky: 2,500
  2. Indiana: 1,400
  3. Texas: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Transportation, Warehousing, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. New York: -12,000
  2. Pennsylvania: -7,700
  3. New Jersey: -6,000
