According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Transportation, Warehousing, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2006:

  1. Texas: 3,200
  2. Michigan: 3,100
  3. California: 2,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Transportation, Warehousing, and Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2006:
