According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2009:

  1. Alabama: 300
  2. New Jersey: 200
  3. Massachusetts: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Utilities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2009:

  1. Georgia: -400
  2. Illinois: -200
  3. Florida: -200
