According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Wholesale Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2004:

  1. California: 3,400
  2. New York: 2,200
  3. Illinois: 2,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Wholesale Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2004:

  1. Massachusetts: -200
  2. Mississippi: -100
  3. Iowa: -100
