According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 3 U.S. states that added the highest seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Government industry in April, 2020 were:

  1. District of Columbia: -700
  2. Wyoming: -1,900
  3. Rhode Island: -2,700

On the other hand, the 3 U.S. states that added the lowest seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Government industry in April, 2020 were:

  1. California: -93,800
  2. New York: -60,600
  3. Illinois: -54,800
