According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April 2012, the following commodities had the highest seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in Producer Price Index (PPI):
- 0181 Hay and hayseeds: 32.5%
- 0142 Slaughter turkeys: 11.8%
- 0183 Oilseeds: 10.9%
The first chart below shows the 12-month percent change in PPI by commodity for a selected group of commodities, and the second chart shows the PPI by commodity for the selected group of commodities. You can also use the control below to select your own commodities to see on the chart (at most 10). The table below have data on the PPI by commodity and the 12-month percent change for many more commodities in April 2012.

The Producer Price Index (PPI) measures the average change over time in prices received (price changes) by producers for domestically produced goods, services, and construction; PPIs measure the price change from the seller's perspective.
