According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2023 Q2, Massachusetts added 5,003 number of private business establishments in all industries. Among all Massachusetts counties, Middlesex added the highest number of private business establishments (1,015), followed by Essex (632), and Hampden (445).
