In January 2019, the following were the rankings of the top 10 Illinois counties based on the number of Federal Government employment they had for All Industries:

  1. Cook: 37,764
  2. St. Clair: 5,277
  3. Lake: 5,209
  4. Rock Island: 4,876
  5. DuPage: 4,595
  6. Sangamon: 1,707
  7. Williamson: 1,666
  8. Kane: 1,590
  9. Peoria: 1,490
  10. Vermilion: 1,425

The following were the rankings of the top 10 Illinois counties based on the number of Federal Government jobs added to All Industries in January 2019:

  1. Carroll: 356
  2. McHenry: 5
  3. Will: 5
  4. Woodford: 5
  5. Johnson: 4
  6. Grundy: 3
  7. Iroquois: 3
  8. Lawrence: 3
  9. McLean: 3
  10. Monroe: 3
