According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2020, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the federal government general merchandise stores industry (15), followed by Alaska (8), and Connecticut (2).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-427), followed by Hawaii (-72), and North Carolina (-52).
