According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2023, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the federal government finance and insurance industry (34), followed by Michigan (24), and Missouri (20).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-39), followed by Mississippi (-21), and Minnesota (-6).
