According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, California added the highest number of jobs to the federal government scientific research and development services industry (16), followed by Maryland (12), and North Carolina (4).

On the other hand, Massachusetts added the least number of jobs (-10), followed by Utah (-1), and Oklahoma (-1).
